Registration problem.

I have a problem accessing the registration form : http://www.census.gov/developers/tos/key_request.html

It says that "The server at api.census.gov is taking too long to respond."

what is this due to ?

are there some geographical restrictions ? (since i am not in the US).

    There are multiple locations that can influence your ability to connect to our servers. From our side it appears that everything is normal.

    I am connecting from France and I tried again many times from different computers. It is always the same problem the registration form doesn't appear.

    I tried then with a US proxy and the the registration form appeared...

    As near as I can tell the problem appears to be between here and there. The servers are recording a hit and response but it isn't quite reaching you.

    I would be interested in seeing what kind of results you get once your key is registered and in use, as we usually try to keep our responses within the sub-second range.
