Not receiving any email in response to api key request

Over the last two days, I submitted a request for an Census API key at

http://www.census.gov/developers/tos/key_request.html

The website says to expect an email after a few minutes, but I've never received any email about how to activate an API key. (Yes, I've checked my spam folder.)

"Get" argument for API call: is there a length limitation?

I have an API request where the get argument that works is "P0030001,P0030002,P0030003,P0030004". However, I wanted to get all available names in that concept, which in total is a list of 8 elements "P0030001,P0030002,P0030003,...P0030008".

This request fails with error "unknown variable 'P0030005,P0030006,P0030007,P0030008"

Is there a limit on the length for the GET argument?

Inconsistent Output in Geocoding Services API?

Hi Everyone, First off, I want to congratulate you on putting together such a comprehensive and straightforward set of APIs. This is really excellent work, and it's a great way of making Census Bureau data more accessible. However, in integrating with the Geocoding Services API, I seem to have noticed a bit of an issue: when looking up Geographies, the results are inconsistent. In particular, if I execute an identical ...more »

invalid json

For this particular api query to acs5 I receive invalid json. I confirmed this with jslint. I suspect one of the fields aren't escaping properly or something. http://api.census.gov/data/2012/acs5/profile?get=DP04_0088E,DP02_0100E,DP02_0104E,DP02_0105E,DP02_0106E,DP02_0107E,DP02_0108E,DP02_0109E,DP02_0111E,DP02_0112E,DP02_0113E,DP03_0019E,DP03_0020E,DP03_0021E,DP03_0022E,DP03_0023E,DP03_0024E,DP03_0025E,DP02_0090E,DP03_0004E,DP03_0005E,DP03_0006E&for=place:*&in=state:*&key={key} ...more »

Error when querying with census tract blocks

Hi, I'm trying to run the following query: http://api.census.gov/data/2010/acs5?key=[key]&get=B00001_001E&for=block:2001&in=state:04+county:015+tract:954900 I get the error message, "There was an error while running your query. API key not valid

I've had an API key for weeks and just got back to my project after doing some other work. I get this error when I make a query that used to work:

"A valid key must be included with each data API request.

You included a key with this request, however, it is not valid.

Please check your key and try again.'

Any thoughts?

"Error when running query"

When I query the following: http://api.census.gov/data/2010/acs5?key=MY_KEY_HERE&get=B19113_001E,NAME&for=tract:*&in=county:31,state:27 I receive the following: "There was an error while running your query. We've logged the error and we'll correct it ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience." Any idea what's up with that? Data Profile API Incorrect for DP02_0024PE

The ACS 5 Year API is returning incorrect data for the DP02_0024PE variable. It should be returning a percent value but it is returning a sum.

It is returning same as this:

http://api.census.gov/data/2013/acs5/profile?get=NAME,DP02_0024E&for=state:01

Missing Variables for 1990 "travel time" sf3

On the 1990 census sf3 variable call, two time frames (20 to 24 and 35 to 39) are missing from "travel time to work". The variable codes increment from P0500001 (TRAVEL TIME[13] Less than 5 minutes) to P0500013 (TRAVEL TIME[13] Worked at home), with P0500005 and P0500008 missing - presumably the missing time frame variables. Using these in the data call results in an 'unknown variable' error. Is this a bug and the data ...more »

2010 census data (ACS5,SF1) JSONP calls stopped functioning

We've been using some of the 2010 census data (ACS5,SF1) by calling it using JSONP. After several months of functioning fine, it is throwing an error today. My code hasn't changed, is something broken on your end?
