HTTP Get returning all null values

Hi,

I am doing a http get http://api.census.gov/data/2010/sf1?key=user key&get=P0010001,NAME&for=state:* and this succeeds with response of 200, but the JSON elements are null. This same call used to work a few days back, now I get the following: ["P0010001","NAME","state"],["null","null","null"],["null","null","null"],...

Please help.

Thank You.

acs 2011 access issue

an application that was running last night no longer operates. It is accessing ACS 2011 5 year data at BG level with a multi-item request (fails with just 2). Were changes made that could affect this? Thank you.

Polygon, block group and census data

I would like to get census block group data for various groups that overlap with a polygon map overlay. If I can get the block groups and need say the number of Chinese of ages 18 to 34 in those block groups then how do I do a JavaScript query to get them?

is there a speed limit?

I wrote a python script to download all the census tract data for four different counties, parse it and save it as csv to upload to our database.

it works great! except that sometimes only the first and fourth queries return data.

Is there limit on how fast we can fire off queries to the API?

Scope of geocodes

The acs5 at state level uses a gnis coding in query. maybe others do also. It is suggested that only FIPS codes, census codes (places, tracts etc), and OMB codes (cbsa etc) be used. folks are far more familiar with FIPS codes and it willl reduce a) confusion and b) Census resources to maintain a additional layer of geocodes. it might be that gnis is going to be a national standard, maybe, but we are not there now.

Demographics by zip code

Newbie here. I searched the api documentation and still do not fully understand how to use it.

I would like to find the average house value for a given zip code from the 2010 census data. Possible?

If so, please provide an example URL for 09210.

Can the same call be made for multiple zip codes that make up an area?

Thanks!

General design and specific API questions

Hello everyone, This is a question requiring some general direction and also some technical help: I would like to automatically (daily, weekly?) upload ACS reports by county (all 3200+) into a database hosted locally. My boss wants it in MS Access (this is not up for debate, I have tried). From MS Access, we'd like to be able to extract the fields we need to populate a .xls file or any other format. Eventually, even ...more »

Query help

Is there a way to get the same information for each state? In other words is per state information available from popproj/pop? Or do I need to query another data ...more »

COUNTY lookup by valid street address

I am looking for a solid WebService API method that will allow me to submit an http request with a pre-validated US Street/City/State/Zip address and return COUNTY in xml or json about 200 times per work day.It looks like the US Census API may do it? Is the data current enough? What might a request look like? Many thanks in advance.
