Hi All, I believe that the Census 2010 API documentation (http://api.census.gov/data/2010/sf1/variables.html) has an error for the table: P12A. Sex By Age (White Alone). It appears that both P012A026 and P012A049 are attributed as Female: !! 85 years and over. I believe that P012A026 should be 'Female' (as in the total of all females. I just signed up and received a key from the Census API. I created a query, copied the key into the query and submitted it. The response said: A valid key must be included with each data API request. You included a key with this request, however, it is not valid. Please check your key and try again. If you do not have a key you my sign up for one here. I have been working on my application and one of the things I would like to do is query the same variable on multiple geographies. For instance, get the total population at the Block Group, Tract, County, State, and Nation.
Right now, it is my understanding that this would represent five different calls to the API.
Can this be done in one call to the API ?
Hi All, The API has incredible functionality for query/results within the nested US Census Bureau Geography (e.g. getting data for all the tracts in a county or all the block groups within a track). However, it does not appear to support queries that run across the same geography very well.
